Using Google Calendar

To copy an event from this DGBC calendar to another:

• 1. click the event to open the details popup

  2. click 'copy to my calendar >>' at the bottom of the popup

  3. click [ SAVE ]

Calendar Event notifications

Google Calendar users have the option to generate an email or browser (popup) notification at a specified time prior to the start of all events or a single event. Please refer to Google Calendar help for additional information on receiving calendar notifications for a single event, or all events by phone, computer (browser), tablet, or by email.

To enable Event notification for all events:

• 1. open Google Calendar

  2. hover over 'DGBC Rides & Events' in the Main menu on the left side and click the three vertical dots (Options for DGBC Rides & Events), then click 'Settings and sharing'

  3. click 'Event notifications' and  'ADD NOTIFICATIONS' to create a notification entry

  4.  select the notification type: Email or Notification (browser popup) and the desired time

  5. click 'ADD NOTIFICATIONS' to enable additional notifications

To enable Event notification for a single event:

• 1. open Google Calendar

  2. click the event name to open the event popup, then click the pencil icon (Edit event)

  3. click 'ADD NOTIFICATION' in the EVENT DETAILS / Notifications section (bell icon) to create a new notification and select the notification type: Email or Notification (browser popup) and the desired time

  4. click [ SAVE ]

Calendar General notifications

Google Calendar users have the option to generate an email when they receive an event invitation or when an event is changed or cancelled.

To subscribe to General notifications:

• 1. open Google Calendar

  2. hover over 'DGBC Rides & Events' in the Main menu on the left side and click the three vertical dots (Options for DGBC Rides & Events), then click 'Settings and sharing'

  3. click 'General notifications' and select 'Email' from the dropdown menu for the desired notification type.

To add the DGBC Calendar to your Google account:

• 1. open Google Calendar

  2. click the '+' icon adjacent to 'Other calendars/Add a fiend's calendar' in the Main menu column on the left & select 'From URL'

  3. paste the calendar URL:  https://calendar.google.com/calendar/ical/dgbicycleclub%40gmail.com/public/basic.ics 

  4. click ADD CALENDAR

To copy an event from one calendar to another:

• 1. open Google Calendar

  2. click the event to open the details popup

  3. click the three vertical dots (Options) and select the 'Copy to' calendar name

  4. edit event information, if desired, and click [ SAVE ]
